Jill Pantozzi is a pop culture journalist and host who writes about all things nerdy and beyond! She’s formerly Editor in Chief of the geek girl culture site The Mary Sue (Abrams Media Network), and hosts her own blog at TheNerdyBird.com. She’s written for MTV, Publishers Weekly, Topless Robot, IGN, Newsarama, and Comic Book Resources as well as served as a video host or guest for several of them. She’s also been featured in entertainment news segments on CNN, PBSMSNBC, and HLN as an expert in her field.

Jill is a prominent member of the geek community, regularly engaging with fans, moderating panels at conventions, and cosplaying. She contributed to a book of essays titled “Chicks Dig Comics,” (Mad Norwegian Press), another titled “Hey Kids, Comics!” and had her first comic book story in the IDW anthology, “Womanthology.” She also co-hosted the Crazy Sexy Geeks podcast along with superhero historian Alan Kistler.

In 2012, she was featured on National Geographic’s “Comic Store Heroes,” a documentary on the lives of comic book fans. The following year she was one of many Batman fans profiled in the documentary, “Legends of the Knight.”

Diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at two and a half, Jill has held the title of Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association since she was seven and has appeared for over twenty years on the New York broadcast of the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
